No *228

I have my droid 3 rooted and was running the liberty rom, and while I had it that way, I couldn't dial *228 without just clearing out the number line and doing nothing. I recently switched back to my droid X because I missed it a little, but now I want to use my D3 again. My problem is that I can't dial *228 and activate it again? I don't know of a different method to activate it without wiping out my phone, or if there is way to get past this?

Uhh... Why can't you? I just did it on my phone last night since another thread mentioned stuff about it...

I've never tried this... but it's worth a shot... Sign into your verizon account.
on the main page under the "Device" header, third button down, says "activate or switch device".
Follow instuctions... I've never completed this method before and have always used *228, so if it doesn't work Sorry...
But I would bet that this is your best alternative.

I haven't been able to dial *228 ever since I installed the liberty ROM on my D3 and I tried logging into my verizon and trying that method (thanks btw) but when I enter the MEID for the phone it tells me to call technical support.

they might have flagged your device which they can fix when you call them... but that wouldn't stop you from dialing *228.
I would SBF and reinstall liberty since I have liberty as well and can dial(and update PRL/activate) without any issues.
