I just recently came back from out of town and my phone is staying on extended network. I dialed the *228 but it said it couldn't read me. I'm running a droid1 with sourcery 2.0.

Menu/Settings/Mobile Network Settings/System Select/Home Only?? Try it and then switch it back to Automatic??

Worth a try.

Try to toggle the other settings in that section.

If that doesn't work, l would reinstall the Rom with no wipes.

If that doesn't work I would restore one of my recent nandroid backups.

If that doesn't work, I would reinstall the rom with wipes.

Good luck.

Odd question, but did you try the standard computer fix of a reboot? Or going into airplane mode for several minutes?

Yeah, yeah.. I'm on my phone. So?

Tried rebooting and reinstalling without wiping. I will try with wiping tomorrow, but so far no luck.

I tried all of those things and still no luck. I even tried a factory reset on the phone. Still the same problem. Please help!

Found out the answer. Verizon's having a legal battle with competitors in my area over towers. Something to due with alltel.
