It looks like today is a day for charts and marketing data news. A new Nielsen marketing report has come forth, and it reveals that smartphone users really like to use them more as toys than tools. The most downloaded apps in Quarter 2 were games, followed by the weather and then social networking. Interestingly, the marketing data further indicates that 93% of users that download games are actually more willing to pay for them than other apps. Another interesting tidbit to come out of the survey was that iPhone users play games more often and for longer periods of time than Android users. That is a bit of a surprise. So... Android users are potentially more productive than iPhone users? Who woulda thunkit?
