Do IM apps such as AIM or Trillian use data or texts when you message? I assume data because it's all through the application, but... I just wasn't sure.
I also don't know if it varies depending on... I don't know, really. Haha. I know there's a difference between having AIM forward messages to your phone which DEFINITELY is texting-based, but...
Regardless, Google is giving me varied answers, and I couldn't find much here.
