Newbie Help? (Messaging)

Im sorry if this has been answered before, but does anyone know how to turn off Auto Spell for Messaging for the Moto-Droid?

Or do people use a separate app they can recommend for easier messaging? =/

Settings -> Language & keyboard settings -> Android keyboard.
Then you probably want to uncheck quick fixes? I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. But this is the best bet to get you there.
