New to smart phones(droid 2)

Hi my name is chris. Just came here to find out some info on my droid 2. Biggest question I have is how to silence the ringing phone(droid 2) while its in my pocket? Iv tried to press buttons but nothing seams to work. Ill keep searching around for my answer. Thanks everyone.

You'll have to activate silent/vibration mode and remember to take it out of it. The rocker on the side is the volume control.

Thanks. Ya Iv looked for an app to change setting or give me that feature. Im so used to having that on my basic phone but now I cant. Kinda bugs me. But we cant always win.

You can get a widget from the market that will silent the phone.

Spazz, is the silent rocker on the lock screen still present on the D2?

Indeed it is but I think he's looking for a way to silence the phone when its already ringing. Say if your someplace where the phone should be silent I.e. work, school, your neighbors funeral etc and it starts ringing in your pocket and you want to instantly silence it. I personally just ignore it and act like its someone elses lol.

Ah.

Sound settings, vibrate only when silent, and put it in silent mode whenever you go somewhere it should be silent anyway.
