One of the main reasons that people have decided to root their phone historically was for the ability to tether wifi for free. Now days most plans come with free hotspot built in. The few of us left on a grandfathered unlimited data plan do not have free wifi tethering built in to our plans. In order to tether on our devices we have to mod our devices to get past the provisioning screen. The LG G2 hotspot mod was working on the Verizon G3 however it was not fully working and required you to go into the hotspot settings and change the password every time you activated the hotspot.
Developer "M4gicM" has released a new app that will work perfectly for the LG G3 just head to the source link below and grab the HotSpotPorvisionVsG3Mod. You will then need to rename the existing hotspot provision apps, move the new app into the system/app folder and reset privileges. This mod is pretty simple but will require that you be rooted and have some sort of root browser. Head to the link below for the proper download link.
