The ability to enable free wifi tether on Android was one of the biggest reasons to root a few years ago. In fact most people who didn't care anything about modifying their device would still root it just for the ability to enable wifi tether. When Verizon started the share everything plan and included free wifi tethering with that plan. However anyone with a grandfathered unlimited plan still has to pay $30 to enable wifi tethering on their device. You can get around this with root on several devices. You can enable wifi tether on the LG G2 by simply changing up the name of a few stock apps, and then installing a modified version of the app. Head to the link below for the full guide and downloads.
