I saw that Black_man_x told someone that the Bionic is supposed to be out the 3rd week in August but that it hasn't finished testing yet. Take it fwiw.

This wait is killing me as well...went to the Verizon store to mess around with the X2 and Revolution, and I gotta say, Im kinda impressed with the Revolution. It was pretty snappy and despite the whole Bing thing was a pretty fluid experience, granted its not Dual Core....

The X2 on the other hand, man it might have been a poor handset but it was slow pulling up some websites (full, not the mobile versions) and it did not seem very responsive at all, which was shocking given the specs...again probably just a bad unit, but was definitely a turn off (not to mention it lacks 4G anyways..).

The Bionic wait might just end up taking too long, even without a release date, information would at least rekindle my interest...

Interesting. I would not be mad at that if it were true. Especially the Gingerbread part. There's no reason for the Bionic to launch with Froyo.

Considering the Bionic is launching in August most likely, it would be embarrassing for Moto to launch it with anything less than Gingerbread.

The pentile screen is pretty bad. Go to the store and try the dx2. I will not be getting any phone with that kind of screen.

The D1 is a good ole war horse isn't she. Still going strong I will not sell her. I'll keep her blood going as my mp3 music player on the lawn mower every week. And as a spare to activate if the new handset has problems.

I always carried her in my pockets, sat on it, dropped it, if Im not using it my 12 year old is hammering the keys texting in a fashion that would win medals if it were an Olympic sport. With only a Steinheil screen protector since 1/1/10 I hope Motorola keeps the rugged build it has in the "New Form Factor" Bionic.
Her paint is chipped, all the gold is off the camera button, and she is running like a banshee.
