Need some help with my old rooted d2

I posted this in the hacks section but got no response. Hoping this section could bring a better outcome. My buddy is wanting to buy my phone, and he still wants it to stay rooted. All i want to do is just keep it rooted, but just delete all my sd card contents. How may I go about this? Am I being a complete noob? Would I be best to just sbf back to stock then re root?

Format SD card and leave rom unless he wants to change it...flashing new sbf will more than likely lose root

do you want all your user data on phone deleted?
install root keeper from market
run protect root
wipe data in android recovery and then reinstall rootkeeper select restore root
should be good

settings/ storage
unmount sd card
format card

edit: if custom rom is installed
can just wipe data
from android recovery and still be rooted

I wiped cache/data but now I'm getting the issue of not being able to delete my Google account. Its telling me I need to do a "factory restore".

factory restore is same as wipe data
and wipe data should have removed google account
