Need help selecting droid!

hi, i'm gonna get a new phone soon, and idk which one

i can get a droid 2 or x for 149, but then i dont get custom roms..

or i can get the old droid for free! and i plan to root it to 800mhz... and use froyo and bugless beast.

so i'm wondering... which one??

I personally have the Droid clocked at 800mhz with CyanogenMod. No bugs or anything so far and lovin it.

However, I have thought about trading it in for a broken AUX jack (reported before i rooted it) in hopes of getting it exchanged for an Incredible or Droid 2.

From a Droid 1 perspective, do you have a strong interest in mods? If so, get the Droid 1. It's the only phone out right now with stock Android (next to the N1) and it's of course ROM friendly.

It's going to be your decision and we can only have so much influence. No matter which you choose, it will be a significant upgrade over your Env2

The Samsung Fascinate, Verizon's version of the Galaxy S is coming out in a few weeks. That will be an awesome phone, and it should be easily rooted.

The T-Mobile myTouch 3G also comes with stock android, as well as the Samsung Moment from Sprint.

None of which are Droids. They are Android phones, close and respected cousins. Nice phones in their own right maybe better then a Droid. Just not Droids.

Three are currently on 3 Droids. Droid, Droid X and Droid 2. All others are android phones, and no, I didn't forget about the Incredible another outstanding phone in it's own right, but if it don't have the words Motorola then IMHO it's not a Droid.

Please excuse me, I'm not usually this confrontational in the morning. Just got a pm from someone who got me p.o.'d.
