need help rooting razr maxx please!!!

I have a razr maxx running android 4.0.4 with system version 6.16.211.xt912
Im trying to root with razr utility 1.8 and using option 2
(Ice cream sandwhich root 4.0.4)
Phone is in debug mode
Phone is not on mass storage
When i proceed it goes through completly, and reboots phone
And says exploit sucess but with no root as result
Also says: cannot stat 'su' : no such file or directory
Unable to chmod/ system/bin/su: no such file or directory
1119 KB/s (2005736 bytes in 1.75s)
Cannot stat 'superuser.apk' : no such file or directory
[*] Cleaning up...
[*] rebooting....
[*] exploit complete!
[*] press any key to exit.

I'm not sure why that didn't work for you, but here is a recommendation. I would restore your phone back to stock .211 using the 1.81 utility, not 1.8 (there is a driver difference between the two). Option 1 will restore your phone back to stock .211. Then, making sure you have extracted 1.81 to its own folder, allowed drivers to install (if needed) and making sure you are using the usb cable that came with your phone, and phone in debug, try option 2 in 1.81. If that doesn't work then hopefully someone on this forum can give a better recommendation or help you out.
