:welcome: to the Forum. Droid does not freeze and run slow unless something is going on.

As you are a new owner I have to ask, are you running a task killer or any antivirus? If you are, get rid of them. That's probably the reason you are running slow.

Many times the sales people at Verizon will install these things for you trying to be helpful. They aren't. They just don't know any better. They may have installed it and not told you about it so check your applications and see if you've got them in there. If so, remove them.

Not the suggestion you want to hear but do a reset on it and don't load up any apps. Test your device for a while to see if speed improved.

This is probably a mis-behaving app.

Is it still running slow? Did you try calling *228 w/option 2 to program it?

I would try that or factory reset. If you continue to have problems call warranty.
