So we can now assume that this phone will be introduced next week at CES but when should we expect it to hit the stores? Is there any tract record from past CES shows?
Dam I was hoping sooner, Im the last of my family to change from ATT to Verizon, holding out for the next DROID to hit the shelves. Looks like Im stuck with this dinosaur of an iPhone I have for a little longer......

I would just make the switch on a 1 year contract and let this new technology develop for 10 months. You'll be much happier off of the ATT network and still get a better device than your iphone. I was recently in your shoes and just bit the bullet and made the jump. I'm much happier and still get to upgrade in September. By the time my upgrade comes around, all these new dual core devices and LTE will be in full swing and I'll be able to have my pick of the litter when it comes to devices. Of course that's just my opinion and experience. Take it for what it's worth.
I've been able to upgrade since this past September. I'm waiting patiently for some dual-core action. Until then flashing Roms on my Droid is keeping me sane. Thank God for Miui. A new update every week gives me something to look forward to and hopefully a better working phone each time. lol
I'm definitely gonna wait for the Etna. A gig of memory and dual-core is worth waiting for, I really wanted the HTC Thunderbolt(or what ever you want to call it)but no dual-core is a deal breaker for me. Something better always comes along a few months after you buy a new phone it seems. The Etna is exactly that!! Looking forward to the Moto tablet also, gotta get my hands on one of those too.
Yeah I'm not too impressed with the Thunderbolt, my issue is I will be purchasing my phone through my fiances business which only offers two year contracts, although their prices on the phones are much cheaper most places. Wait I shall......
I'll only go with one year contracts. These smartphones are advancing way too fast to wait two years for a new one. Back in the day with regular cell phones it was a different story, as long as it worked and you could call and text who cared? With smartphones everyone wants the newest thing available that is the biggest and baddest and fastest. I kinda don't even look at my Droid as a phone anymore. I look at it as a mini computer that I can make phone calls on now and then. lol
I don't mind holding on to a phone for 2 years, shoot that's how long Ive had my current iPhone. And I only started to get mad at it when iOS4 came out and slowed it waaaaay down.
I'm waiting for a phone that has dual core and a front facing camera. 4G doesn't matter as it will be years before they even think about installing 4g towers (just now starting to get 3G).
