is this the Droid thats expected release date is Aug. 23rd? I get the Droid 2 and the Droid Pro confused i think.

yup wanna see the droid pro. Here are my reasons for me not getting a droid 2:

1) locked bootloader
2) It looks, feel, like an o/c droid that can not be rooted or use custom roms


If locking bootloaders become SOP for moto, then im prob done buying another moto product.

how do we know the droid 2 can't be rooted? i was looking at some specs for the droid pro and all i have to say is wow!! that is gonna be one sweet phone. i don't see it coming out till the holidays though.

Locked Bootloader = Not good for what we do, LatinaC09

We'll see what happens, I'm not upgrading my Droid until I KNOW I can root my next phone.
