The device works perfectly fine as it is,

Perfectly fine, fanboy?

So you have some rare Droid that doesn't have horrible browser scrolling, random force-closes when simply answering the phone, and a worthless camera?

Some of us aren't looking for cosmetics, but basic and major fixes.

Wow, settle down a bit. I, am also one of the lucky ones with a "rare" droid. Mine works perfectly fine. I am however really anticipating the upgrade. But, you sir, don't have to bash other people on this forum, and call them Fanboi's because their phone works fine for them.

browser scrolling is fine for me.
no force-closes
camera isn't worthlress, it just requires some light, i dont expect much from it being a camera on a phone and all...

has anyone done an review of the camera and the different modes? I'm curious if there is a mode that is best for taking pictures in general

If there was one thing I wish they would fix on the Droid, it would have to be the camera. There are plenty of times when I want to take a picture and it takes about 20-30 seconds for the camera to finally work...then another 5 seconds from the time to take the picture from when you pressed the button.

I do miss my BlackBerry camera.

We bought the phone as a work in progress, with the promise of updates that would finish it.
If they screw us out of those updates, then they are screwing us out of the good-faith agreement.

I'm not bashing anyone, but the update was supposed to fix the flaws, and there are many.
If they decide to abandon Droid and give those fixes to the more fortunate sons, then I have issue.

Yes mine does work perfectly since day 1!!!

I have had no FC of the stock OS only some Apps every once in a while!
My browser scrolls great using dolphin browser and I have taken some pretty good photos!!

Whose the fanboi???? Apple troll maybe????:icon_ devil:

Mine browses the internet ALMOST like an iPhone does :)

And when you turn the phone 90 degrees, your desktop switches to landscape mode, like your beloved iPhone?

No, it doesn't. Droid DOESN'T!

But I'm in a contract with these mofo's now, so I need this garbage to get sorted out.
The fluff is one thing, but getting a force-close on a phone call is unacceptable.
Happened three times today. Not cool. And actually makes a case for Heir Jobs' philosophy about software containment. I feel like I have a phone with a hippie OS that may or may not work when I need it most!

This thing wasn't ready for market, but they cashed our checks. Now it's up to us to hold them to it.
