Motorola Droid 2.1

My guess is something pretty big was added hence the original delay from Jan22nd.....

Second, They are obviously under pressure to get it out or they wouldn't have posted and then retracted.

Its obvious they don't want us to know the exact time of release.... why?

Because they cannot promise.... that means things have not been nailed down and it hasn't been an exact science.


I see all this as good news.... simply because I'm hoping something good is in the works thats gonna make it worth it.

the only other option is that they just overestimated how long it would take to do the original updates they had planned.... but I'm thinking due to pressure, someone changed the gameplan at the last minute and I'm hoping the final product will be much better than the original planned for Jan22.

Regardless of the reasons... I trust they won't give us the update till its how they want it..... is that tonight or next week...... who knows.

Motos recent peek was that we would get it this week... but thats happened before.

All of us can only speculate.... nothing is certain.

On the Motorola Facebook page, someone posted that he seen the 2.1 update on the Droid demo phone in the Verizon store today! Sounds promising to me! Hopefully I wake up to an update screen!

Unless you know what your doing, you can't even see the camera of a demo phone if its not activated yet.... unless something changed since 2.0.

Maybe it was one already activated by the store I assume.... but it would be much harder to go through the ones behind the counter.

LMAO..... this whole year has been a roller coaster....... First 2.1 coming january 22nd. I got all hyped and my eyes were glued to my for looking for an update notification. second... I got all excited that the iphone was coming to verizon in the apple announcement. Yeah yea I know I know, despite what you think of apple or the iphone I still was excited knowing that If I wanted an Iphone I would soon be able to get one (IF I CHOSE) on verizon. Third Moto OFFICIALLY anounces the details for 2.1 then we get an "OOOOOPS we messed up"

Come oooooooooooooooooon! this is getting rediculas LOL. Im thinking I was happier not even knowing about this update lol

not sure if anyone else has posted this yet but i just talked to the vzw store here in st. louis (south co) and he said 2.1 will be sent to select phones then on and on till everyone has it. he didnt say how long or when it would be compleatly done

too many rumors nowadays...I don't trust anyone accept for MOT and the MOD of this forum.

wasnt there a thread on 2.1 being released presumably today in the DroidNews section? What happened to it? and im guessing its not there anymore because it was false?
