jea2004, i believe in your prediction. And if it does not work out, then I will believe in your next one. ;)

You are too kind. Just call me the Nostradamus of phone predictions. Gotta be right sometime.

But about this, I don't know. I'm just trying to suggest something that makes sense. And that makes sense to me. I'll bet many have the update by morning. I hope that is the case.

I'm gonna make a prediction (hear that guys, PREDICTION . . . but I'd be willing to bet on it). . .

IF the document earlier that outlined all the specifics of the 2.1 update, which has now been pulled, was posted at or around noon EST, I will predict that the 2.1 update will begin to push for those select few getting it first at midnight tonight. Why do I think this? Someone has already hinted at it elsewhere, but if the specs which have seen been taken down were posted at or around noon, it would make sense for it to be a simple coding or programming error where the person put "pm" rather than "am" for the display time. Since noon wasn't the case, and Motorola has already confirmed they took the document down because it was supposed to coincide with the release of 2.1, it makes sense to at least speculate that the update will push at midnight EST. At least that's what I'm predicting will happen.

Not the case. 12AM tonight is actually 2/11/10. The date Moto had up was 2/10/10. If they wanted to do a 12AM launch, and it was simply input wrong, that means they would have wanted to start it last night, not on 2/11/10.

I bet it gets pushed back a few weeks...

Fair enough. But they also said "this week." Still a few days left in this week, and I remain optimistic I'll have it by morning.

So what they posted on their FB was incorrect? If that's the case I'm not going to believe any more of the rumors until I see it on my phone.

you guys are funny, the only reason you are excited about 2.1 is because it will bring you that much closer to 2.4.

The device works perfectly fine as it is, there's not going to be any mind blowing features that significantly "upgrade" it. It's just little incremental things. Pinch zoom? who cares, double tapping is just as functional if not more so, hardly anything to lose sleep over, jus like the other "features" you are wetting your beds over.
