wow. some people really dont know when to stop. i mean nobody is going to believe someone with less than 5 posts.(well i'm not that far up there but i try to help people(newbies) as much as my knowledge allows. so dont come spam our boards with your nonsense.

Thats are pretty good rule of thumb... anyone not willling to commit more than 3 posts before enlightening everyone is usually has issues.

Most people spend a little time learning something before they teach everyone else.

Or are they on a mission to spread the Gospel throughout the internet with their new found knowledge?...... whats the motivation?

Until someone with a track record comments, its not even worthy of consideration any more than someone you don't know walking up to you in the streets to tell you your mother is fooling around.

I certainly hope that what that guy said was not correct. However a person with only one post could be more accurate than someone with 500 posts. I've seen guys on here with tons of posts making statements from "contact's" that turned out to be as silly as any other posts.

Nothing ANYONE says is accurate until it is backed up by facts.

P.S. It's nice to see all the goodies being ported over to the Droid. The new Flan multi-touch gallery is very nice!

Assuming that Motorola is still planning on pushing the 2.1 update to the Droid, patience is a good thing. Almost 2 years ago I bought a touchscreen Pioneer navi/multimedia player for my car that was released before its software was ready for prime time. What a colossal mess. Its users group was pretty much aflame with angry customers for almost a year. A couple software updates later, they fixed the most egregious problems (though some still exist...along with some sour tastes).

The point is, no matter how much we all want it now, we'll all be happier in the long run if they take the time necessary to make certain it delivers.

Just sayin'.

Things are getting very interesting. If you don't check the app section much (I don't either,) sholes.info has an app in the market now that does the the heavy lifting of rooting and romming for you. Donate version out now, free version to come later.

there are 4 more apk files for the 2.0.1 platform that are from 2.1

try to search for them. I know someone has a thread about it.

Just got off the phone with a Motorola rep and he said there will not be any more updates to the Moto Droid because of a legal dispute between them and Google. They are expected to formally make a statement and give us more details early next week. Sorry guys.

I just got off of Skype with the CEO of Motorola and he said that the "Leagal Dispute" is code for "Those Whining Idiots over at DroidFORUMS.net". Take it or leave it, thats what I heard...:r_c:
