If you JUST got your Droid, you may very well be running 2.0.0 instead of 2.0.1. The 2.0.1 has the lag issue as stated above. Or..you just got damn lucky.People "not believing you" may just be them saying they don't understand why. I doubt anyone here was actually calling you a liar. It is all probably just a misunderstanding. It may be cause you have no apps loaded (but not likely). It may be that you are running 2.0.0. It may be that you got one of those "non-existant" upgrades that Moto swears didn't go out (but did). Anyways, your browser is super fast! Awsome! I know, I came from a BB and the browser is fast as hell when comparing the two. But my browser is not as "smooth" as it was in 2.0.0. (I'm running 2.0.1).
Yeah, you're right, they probably didn't understand and didn't mean to come across as calling me a liar. I'm sorry. I was a little tense last night after the day at work I had.
Anyway, my droid shows 2.0.1 as the firmware version, but like I've said I only have a few apps installed (not sure that would matter) and I keep em killed with Advanced Task Killer pretty often.
Like I said, not sure if these things would even matter, but my browser is fast responsive and as smooth as a babies behind.![]()
It been said before, 2.1 will be nice but what I really want is Flash 10. And without either of them this is still the best phone I've ever had.
I'm really just kind of pissed at motorola. If they wanted us to have this update, we would have it by now. Something doesn't seem right.
And you know this how? Maybe they really want you to have this update in the most efficient and optimized version they can provide. Sure their will still be things people will complain about. But did you ever think that maybe they are working on fixes for other things like Bluetooth Voice Dialing, or who knows what else. 2 weeks isn't a lot of time and there is very little wrong with 2.0.1. So if I have to wait another month before 2.1 is made available to make sure it works flawlessly(or as close to it as possible) I have no problem. I think there's a lot of people on here who don't realize what goes into programing and dealing with issues that most likely are unique even from phone to phone. I'm sure Motorola and Verizon are working to get a update released in a timely fashion, although some people will never be satisfied. I don't look forward to all of the "This is it?!" posts once it comes out when people are disappointed in any myriad of things with it.
Hey, guess what......we will never receive anymore updates. Besides the 2.0.1 update that we already got in December, there will not be anymore updates issued by VZW, Motorola, or Google. Never. I've just received confirmation on this FACT. So go ahead, root, try out ROMs, and install 2.1 that way because that's the ONLY way you'll ever see it...
I hope you don't expect people to believe that. Why would they put so much money & effort into the Droid to drop it like a brick?CfrHey, guess what......we will never receive anymore updates. I take that post as a means to start up a flame war & get the forums all worked. Thanks for playing, but it won't work.

Flash?! Ugh!
Talk about slooooow and draggy and hogging up resources. They mask it with the fancy page transitions. Horrible! I have never enjoyed flash.

Maybe so, but a couple of my friends have Droids as well and have the same issue. I've also never seen any video evidence of full websites with pictures running "smooth as a baby's behind". So maybe you can understand why I'm skeptical.
I wish a dev would figure out how to get 1.6 running on our Droids.
2.1 is confirmed for tomorrow.
