Both the Google Android OS? So other than Android, what other OS can it be upgraded to???

I think they are just holding off and we are getting 3.0 and Flash at the same time.

I bet motorola is doin this on purpose......they just sit in the big confrence room and pull up the forums and start laughing "ha ha ha look at all this people wanting the 2.1 we can make them wait all they want ha ha ha" if we r ready to get the upgrades then WHAT THE H*** IS STOPPING THEM FROM LAUNCHING IT!!!!! Eeerrrrrrrrrrrr they suck.

Did anybody else see this?! What the heck?! Is he rooted or no?
They could be planning on updating us to 2.1.1 (or what ever the first upgrade to 2.1 will be) to fix issues with 2.1 that were recognized with the N1. This would also explain the delay and why Google probably wants to keep things quiet. N1 owners would be upset if they knew Droid was going to get the fix for N1 issues before they get the fix.

I don't appreciate being called a liar. It scrolls extremely smoothly even on large sites with tons of pictures. I just bought the dam thing and I'm looking at it right now. I haven't loaded many apps yet, but when I do and if it slows down the scrolling of web sites, you two will be the first to know and then you both can feel better about your driod.
if you use a good browser like xscope it is smooth scrolling. i tried the dolphin browser and it sucked.
and i hope the pictures requested were of scrolling on the phone and not babies butts.
Desso, are you running Android 2.0.1? The reason i ask is there is a known bug with the stock browser in 2.0.1 which causes serious lag on pages with lots of pictures. This issue was not there on 2.0.0 and is also fixed in 2.1.

If you JUST got your Droid, you may very well be running 2.0.0 instead of 2.0.1. The 2.0.1 has the lag issue as stated above. Or..you just got damn lucky.
People "not believing you" may just be them saying they don't understand why. I doubt anyone here was actually calling you a liar. It is all probably just a misunderstanding. It may be cause you have no apps loaded (but not likely). It may be that you are running 2.0.0. It may be that you got one of those "non-existant" upgrades that Moto swears didn't go out (but did). Anyways, your browser is super fast! Awsome! I know, I came from a BB and the browser is fast as hell when comparing the two. But my browser is not as "smooth" as it was in 2.0.0. (I'm running 2.0.1).
