Motorola Droid 2.1

My main desire for wanting 2.1 is the voice to text feature that I've heard about. Illinois now has a law that you can't text while driving, which I've always tried to avoid anyways, but it would be nice to be able to reply to an important message just by talking. The 5 screens would be nice too, but V-t-T is the main thing I'm looking for.

Yes, I've looked thru the market, but the V-t-T apps don't seem to have very good reviews.

Yes, I've looked thru the market, but the V-t-T apps don't seem to have very good reviews.

Use the newest Sholes 1.2 ROM and you will have voice to text on Android 2.0.1.

I'm hesitant to install anything that isn't "officially" issued. My wife will KILL me if I brick my Droid!!

But, I may do some digging and check into that ROM......

I just found that you can do voice to text with handcent.

The eye candy will be nice and all and i dont experience a ton of bugs or anything but everyone once in a while something just plain funky happens such as my bluetooth headset cutting out when i leave my house and my wifi disconnects.

go get yourself Handcent SMS... It will allow you to do voice to text for your SMS messages...

The main thing I liked on 2.1 is the Picasa Online Albums integrated! Save you so much space on your card for music and whatever else! Plus the performance itself. I had it but went back to 2.0.1 since I need the lit Keyboard

u know the droid isn't all that..... so yeah i would pay for a slimmer phone and a faster phone and im sure it has a little more stuff to it then our presous

You are one of the lucky ones that do not have the Browser lags when scrolling after 2.0.1 Update.
