You guys with scrolling problems, need to check your services running. I would bet you have 3 rd party service's running.

I had the same issue. I uninstalled the ram wasting services / applications and it was smooth again.

The main thing I liked on 2.1 is the Picasa Online Albums integrated! Save you so much space on your card for music and whatever else! Plus the performance itself. I had it but went back to 2.0.1 since I need the lit Keyboard

You can still have that functionality if you just download the gallery app and use it with 2.0.1

Is it called Gallery App??
And is it in the Market? Who's the Dev??

Does 2.1 address any of the lacking bluetooth functionality such as finaly enabling name dialing, or any other missing profiles?

jismail, no there are no bluetooth changes that i am aware of outside of possible bug fixes but i believe people with nexus ones are experiencing the same bluetooth issues that Droid users are.

ahh. i dont know where 2.1 is. all the hype. nothing here. miami? where art thou miami?

all i wanted was 2.1 :( 5 home screens... ahhh the goodness. and live wallpapers./... eeee so WANTED.

Hey JGard,

Thank you soooo much for the recommendation of Handcent! The voice recognition I'll have to play around with, but I already love the way it handles threads with the speech bubbles. So much easier to see who said what!

Excellent program!!!

you know those bubbles are iphone format? and you can change it too android... or change colors too

My main desire for wanting 2.1 is the voice to text feature that I've heard about. Illinois now has a law that you can't text while driving, which I've always tried to avoid anyways, but it would be nice to be able to reply to an important message just by talking. The 5 screens would be nice too, but V-t-T is the main thing I'm looking for.

Yes, I've looked thru the market, but the V-t-T apps don't seem to have very good reviews.

I'm confused... I have speech to text???

If you open the menu while in messaging there is an icon with a microphone that says "speak" and if you speak it types.

As with the 2.1 Google News/Weather, the 2.1 Gallery, and the 2.1 Clock you can install the 2.1 App Drawer now and have 5 home screens. AFAIK you can't have live wallpapers unless you are willing to root.

Thats too bad since the Bluetooth implemented is not up-to-date with the current profiles.

I had opened a feature enhancement request with the Android Team but so far no responses.

Does anybody know if the manual volume control is fixed? like, when the droid is held vertically, up is volume up, down is volume down... which is standard and perfect, but when it goes horizontal, the button stays the same, so left (previously up) is volume up, and right (previously down) is volume down, which is not standard. the right button should be volume up and the left one should be volume down... (i thought that might need explanation) but do we know if this got fixed? or if theres anyplace to tell motorola?
