I just think there should be some more communication from motorola about when it's going to come out. It really is ridiculous what's going on right now.
 
On a serious note about the update: Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember hearing that Google Earth is going to be included in 2.1.....

I thought I read that in one of the other 2.1 threads.

Anyone? Anyone?
 
At this point, I believe people are just taking things I say out of context and seeing my complaints as me stating I hate the phone and am trying to convice everyone else that is perfectly happy with theirs, that they should hate it.

That is not the case... Are some of my problems due to user error? Sure, but by now I would think I have a pretty firm grasp on what is user error, and what should be normal operation of the device. I don't feel that trying to use the phone to it's full potential (ie: getting apps and trying them out) is user error. I don't think that I can blame the OS or device for those problems either. Those are not the problems I am referring to.

There are obviously problems and/or bugs (on top of adding features) with the OS, otherwise they would not be releasing updates or newer versions. I really like the phone, otherwise I would not be on my 3rd device trying to make it work for me. I joined this forum to find out if I was causing any of the issues and found that yes some things were my fault. I posted in this thread simply stating my problems and stating that I hope the newer version will be better than the current and fix some bugs. If you can't understand what I'm stating or understand where I am coming from and want to continue to state that I am simply the problem with every bug on my phone than so be it... I'll keep my flame suit on.
 
Dudes, dudes....read her post again. I know she has rubbed some people the wrong way but she's entitled to her opinions. You are drawing conclusions that she was clearly not making.
 
We are getting too many complaints on this thread and we don't want to shut it down. We may be forced to if this keeps up.

It's really not worth it if you ask me. We have this thread open to all of you so that EVERYONE has a NICE place to discuss this topic. It's not fair for members wishing to discuss 2.1 to have to wade through all the nonsense that is going on.

If everyone can't play nice we'll have to start issuing infractions to the guilty parties.

So I am asking EVERYONE nicely. Lets keep the emotions in check and discuss this topic like adults.

i heard that droid users will be getting almost all of the features that the nexus one users have like live wallpapers, voice-to-text, a new gallery, app launcher, google earth and other things but its just a rumor
 
thanks for the warning, CK.. shutting this down would save me the effort of sifting through 100+ pages to delete posts that aren't on topic.

this is getting ridiculous. you know my vote.

I'm not sure I'd just call this a phone... THis is more of a pocket computer that happens to also make phone calls. I can do all of the things that the droid does on my laptop or desktop computer, but I don't call them a phone...
 
You have a point and I completely agree. Making phone calls is by far the least amount of time I spend on it. Regardless, people are getting all upset over this "phone". It's not like it's it iPad or anything :)
