I've considered that, also. Trying to decide if I want the keyboard or not. One absolutely maddening thing about Verizon is the absolute lack of any kind of release projections for new phones. Honestly, had I known the Droid was going to be out 32 friggin' days after I upgraded to my Imagio, I would have waited. Of course the return policy being 30 days, I was screwed.

I just wish there was some more forewarning for what was actually coming out from Verizon and when. I love their coverage and service and won't go anywhere, but that tightlipped bit about phone releases really gets annoying.

Yes. I was speechless when I found out that the Nexus One was coming to Verizon. I'm fairly in the know about things going on but I completely forgot about CES over Christmas and we all upgraded to Droids from iPhones. I would have preferred a keyboard less phone.

It sucks that in this day and age you can't go without a phone for more than 2 days. You are really at the mercy of the cell companies. I liked the iphone because I always knew that every year at the same time a new one would come out.

Oh I have no doubts about that. I'm not due for upgrade until February 17th so may hold out a hair longer as all indications are the next batch of phones are due in March. Couple more weeks could be worthwhile. I've got two phones on the system that I bounce back and forth on the early upgrade but the other won't be due until around October, so I'm trying to be careful. Don't feel like paying full price for a phone if I can avoid it.

Well the Droid is such a massive step up from the Dare I used to play with, I'm happy as a clam at high tide.... I too never use the keyboard and would just as soon not have it.. but after studying the keyboard, I'm not sure we would really gain any loss of thickness to not have it.

Nevertheless, the Droid was a serious learning curve for me and I don't expect to be bored with it for quite a while and the apps out there haven't even caught up with it yet.....

Hopefully the 2.1 will do even more tweaks to an already fabulous phone.

Heh, I was going to let you know I'd finally wandered in over here.

Man, I'm absolutely floored at the amount of info here. Simply amazing! Now just going to sit back and see which phone to go with. If there's a chance of the Motoroi in March, I'll be patient (well, at least as close as I can). Got the green light for early upgrade in middle of February, so it'll only be another couple of weeks beyond that.

I really do not mean to be a pest but can anyone shed some light on my whole half-roaming extended network but yet "in" issue lol! Also now my wifi will not work but I do not know if it is the phone or the network but none the less I now can not use it to receive the ota so I want to to know if I should even hold my breath for this ota update!
