Messaging lag when trying to exit text screen.

Has anyone else had issues with any type of lag? I'm experiencing a lot of lag when I try to exit the text messaging screen/list. a few times a popup would ask me if I want to force close bc the program was not responding. Do I need to delete my texts often? This is my first smartphone so I have no clue. Thanks!

Yea I have the same issue. Force closes all the time, and I'm wondering the same thing if messages need to be deleted often.

I've had the same problems but only when I have lots and lots of messages in one thread. Deleting the thread seems to be the solution and doesn't lag anymore.

Just get handcent or chompsms, doesn't seem to lag or slow down, I tried the default texting app but it seemed to stop and wait alot

i really liked the native messaging app but i think i will be replacing it soon because of this issue.
