message pop-up on restart...

Here lately when I start up my phone e a message has been popping up. It says com. android. phone has stopped working. What does this mean and is it a problem? Can anyone help? Thanks!

It means something is wrong causing your phone to crash. Can you make/receive phone calls? Are you stock/rooted/ROM'd?

Try going to settings - apps - all, find your phone and clear data and see if it continues.

I was rooted but now I'm back to stock...while rooted I had too many glitches on my phone...I thought that it would be better to root but really didn't see any advantages...
