Help with jellybean update and fox-fi please.

I am still running on ICS 4.0.4. Every 12 hours a message pops up saying the new jellybean update is downloaded on my phone and do i want to install it. Ive been told fox-fi still works with ICS, when i activate hotspot it connects to my devices but does not send any data through. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
