Max volume difficulty, please help.

Hey, I've recently noticed that the media volume on my Samsung Gravity SMART seems too low. Even at it's 'max' volume. Its very strange, because when I'm about 3 'clicks' away from the media sound being 'off', I can't hear anything. Its like the volume is all the way down at 3/10 on the volume scale. Also, when I'm about 2 presses away from being to the 'max' volume, a little message says "if the volume is turned up any higher, it may cause hearing problems".. so I KNOW there is deffinetly something wrong. Please help, as this is quite annoying. Thank you!
