The Galaxy Note Edge is considered by many to be a gimmicky device. It includes a curved display that allows you to control some functionality of your device from the edge. Popularity of this device is growing, but it remains a niche device. While there aren't a ton of people carrying this phone the curved edge serves as a usable proof of concept for what can be done with curved screens. There are a few apps that are made specifically for the Note Edge and several others that are compatible with the Note Edge. Below is a list of apps that make use of your Note Edge's Edge.

Google Play:
Edge Navigation (also displays time, battery%, date & day)
Spotify Music
Poweramp Music Player
Pandora internet radio
Beats Music
Pocket Casts
Google Play Music
Hulu
엣지 시계 패널 (Edge clock panel) - displays in your system language (e.g. English)
Gismeteo lite (includes edge panel)
EasilyDo for Samsung Edge (includes edge panel)
GoneMAD Music Player
SoundCloud - Music & Audio

Samsung Galaxy Apps:

Most of the Google Play ones are music/video apps.....which could be accessible by just pulling down your notification bar (like on my note 3)

.....Not good

Give it time. The Edge is ahead of Android developers at this point.
2 months ago there were very few music and video that took advantage as well. If memory serves Power Amp was the first back around thanksgiving.

Both times I went into my local carrier's store last week there were a few people buying the Edge. The white one is apparently in short supply.

Glad to see it gaining support. Still not sure if it's the wave of the future, but with the (almost confirmed) rumor that there'll soon be an S6 variant announced with dual edge screens and LG (I think) making their own edge screen, I think we'll see more and more devs starting to bake in support for the concept.

I just hope that LG's offering plays nice with apps optimized for Samsung's and vice-versa, or they've both kinda shot the tech in the foot.

Worst case scenario, maybe the curved screen technology will get us a bit closer to a true bevel-less design.
