Looking for a security/wipe app for the DX

On other phones Ive owned I could set the security to wipe the phone after X number of invalid password attempts in case it was ever lost or stolen.

Has anybody found an app that will do this on the DX?

Lookout premium has a remote wipe feature, but it is subscription based and expensive. I hope someone else chimes in with a better solution. I would use it too.

If you have the insurance from VZW, you can get the Mobile Recovery app for free. It will locate and wipe via website.

Ya, Im using this now, but it doesnt wipe much, only contacts data I think. Im looking for something that will wipe my personal application data from the phone including documents, tasks, some work files....everything.

I really like this phone, but the backup and security features are far behind blackberries and other phones.

Keep in mind that the android OS is only in version 2 of its lifecycle. I was a 10 yr. user of windows mobile and have witnessed the maturity of phone OS over time. I am not surprised at the lack of utility programs at this point in time. What is interesting is the number of "free" apps that you "never" saw with other phone OS.

This app, https://www.ihoundsoftware.com/, although not free, $10/yr provides the following remote wipe:
Data Wipe


Remove sensitive data from your device.
Remove:
SMS Messages
Contacts (warning: this may delete contacts from sync'ed email accounts, such as your gmail account)
Phone Call Log
Photos
Videos
SD Storage Data

Don't know if it will meet your needs, but there are apps that let you send a SMS to your phone to lock it, such as Lost Phone, which is a free app.

Locking it doesn't prevent them from accessing the SDcard and getting photos/videos/etc.

I've been looking for a full wipe application for some time.
