Why did Motorola omit the lanyard hole on the Droid2?

Thanks for the ideas, I think it has to be a well built case with a leash attachment for wrist and neck leashes. I'm still looking.

I agree, but for different reasons. I too would like the option of adding a wrist strap to my Droid 2 since I don't want to hold it in my hands 24/7 and I often do not carry a purse or wear garments with pockets. And since I'm a bit of a girly-girl, I'd also like to add decorative charm straps to my Droid as I did with my old cell phone.

No lanyard hole = no fun!:icon_evil:

I guess I'll just have to purchase a case or skin and modify it to accept straps.

Just a thought, how about putting some velcro on the back (sticks on with tape) and then you can get something like a surfboard leash that has velcro on one end and a wrist brace on the other.

Have you thought of maybe using a hard case like the Body Glove D2 Case and either drilling a hole or using the case's design to attach a wrist-strap to?
I've been considering picking up a Wii Remote lanyard for my DX.
