Lockscreen/ Lock Screen Notifications

I keep seeing screenies of people's lock screens with notifications e.g. missed calls, etc. I am wondering if this is something like widgetlocker or if it's some other kind of lockscreen mod. When I google it or search this site, it brings back non-helpful threads and posts. I had grip/ growl on my IPhone, and that was kinda cool. h34r: Any ideas, droidies?
