Liberty 1.5 Known Issues

Just came up with 2 more things after playing around:
Music controls don't work on the lock screen - even when enabled for "When Playing" and when I use the Gingerbread theme not all of the apps that I had re-installed from TitaniumBackup aren't linked to the native apps in the Marketplace. When I switched the Nex Theme, they are all there. (It looks like the apps I paid for are showing, but any of hte free apps are gone). If I manually search for the app and find it in the list it shows up as installed but it doesn't display when I choose My Apps.

humm..... Music controls are working fine for me

As for as issues with Titanium Backup, I really don't think this is a Liberty issue.

The music controls thing is odd - because even if I switch to Always or Never, it doesn't display the controls and once I go back in, its set back to the "When Playing" option again, which is similiar to the issue I have with the font sizes - it accepts the change, but then reverts back. Both of those have happened with the 3 themes I tried (Liberty Default, Nex and Linear).

The backup thing is only happening w/ the default Liberty theme - which is weird, I'm not sure why the theme would have to do with the mappings to the store, but I ran the Market Doctor function within TB nd it seems to have fixed it so its a non-issue now :)

Is there a way to stop the liberty toolbox from going to landscape...? I've got auto rotate disabled, and smart rotator installed, but the toolbox ignores my settings. No big deal I suppose, but I recall seeing a recent post about the toolbox and phone crashing if anything is installed while in landscape.

Try this, as a test...Reinstall Liberty over the top.. To do this reboot into recovery and without wiping install Liberty as you did the first time.. You should not lose any of your data nor apps...

Also before you reboot check the Liberty Zip's md5sum and make sure it matches the on listed in the release notes.

Ok - might have figured something out (before i saw your post to try the re-install) - If I disable the Lock Screen Pattern and just use the default slide or rotary lock, then I get music controls... so its something with the locking type specified.

Now.. down to 1 issue: Font sizes. work your magic! :)

Whats wrong with the font sizes?

I'm having the issue of not being able to re-size fonts. I can select whatever size, but once I back out of Font Size and go back to the Liberty Settings screen it reverts back to the default/Normal size..

Report this issue in the Toolbox thread please...

Through Spare Parts they don't change.. no matter what size font I select, once I back out of that option it always reverts back to Normal. (One or two other guys have posted that earlier in this thread too, so I figured it was still a known issue). Its only for the system-wide fonts, some of the specific apps allow me to change the font within the program and that works Ok; is just the core setting that doesn't want to switch.

Just wanted to update the bug I mentioned earlier with a few screenshots. The second one is just to compare screen size and show how far down the screen is SUPPOSED to reach to. Also, you can all be immensely jealous of how freaking rich I am. Don't go asking for any cash handouts, now...

I'm using the default Liberty theme with no mods installed. I did, however, swap out app icons using Liberty Toolbox (or whatever included app does that) and have switched between a few different font faces. I am also using Jrummy's Overclock app as depicted in the second screenshot.

--- EDIT ---
For documentation's sake, this was indeed an LCD Density issue and not an issue with the ROM itself. The fix, provided (to me) by joe.bob was to go to Liberty Toolbox > Liberty Mods > Build Props > LCD Density. The default and generally accepted value for Droid 2 and Droid X is 240. That is the value which fixed the app's screen size problem.

Looks like an lcd density issue. I tried changing mine to 230 and the same thing happened, only with certain apps tho. I reset density to stock, not worth it if some apps can't handle it

Oh, that sounds like super thumbs up news to me. Where can I change the density? I don't recall doing it manually (I've only edited the sysctl stuff for battery life), so I'm unfamiliar with it.

Liberty toolbox> liberty mods> build props> lcd density. Also in droid overclock in the build prop settings. Stock is 240 for the beloved droid x

Thank you, you were absolutely right. Apparently the default for this ROM is 235. I (re)set it to 240, and the bar has been removed and all is well in the land of Mint.com-taking-up-the-full-screen-dom. Very much appreciated!
