Leaked Pics of a Mysterious AT&T Motorola Phone Appear Online; Maybe the XFone?

Here's an interesting potential X Phone morsel for you guys to chew on at the end of the work-day. These pics of a mysterious Motorola device showed up @evleaks. The phone looks a bit like the XT912A we shared with you guys a few months ago. Besides being surrounded by an ugly-looking case, the phone has some additional interesting characteristics. Looking at the second picture below (which was uploaded later than the first), you can barely make out an "XFon" in the model number decal. The device is likely very real, but it's possible the label is faked.

At this point there's a ton of room for speculation as to what this phone actually is, so we will leave it a mystery for now. If it is true, what do you guys think of the XFone name?

As I posted earlier. I believe it is the xt912A and they will make it the atrix 3.

Xphone or XFON appears to be just a designation for the device but will get a name when it reaches the carrier. SO Im thinking atrix for att (since att used atrix for its motorola devices) and vzw will call it DROID ________.

I think it will be a nice device but I think this variant may be for the mid end market. The RAZR m and atrix 2 were directed to get more people on smart phones . There are people who want a decent smart phone for about $100 (subsidized price) and I think this variant of the Motorola device are for them. Now I believe we should see another one with more bells and whistles for the high end market later.

I sort of like these little rumor games. For a moment it allows you to imagine the possibilities. When I had the og droid I imagined a big screen quad core processor. Here we are now and quad core is old news in fact mid end phones are about to come with quad core processors. Who is to say some of the rumors don't have teeth. Many are just people trolling but there are concept phones that are a year in the making as far as hardware but are not ready to be released because of bugs or still in testing to see how it holds up before spending money putting it into production, preparing software, and marketing.
