hey guys, attempted to install the rom based from the latest RUU leak, got the .zip and that went fine, but when I try to flash the boot img from the bootloader it says "main version is older, update failed". Here's the link where i got the files from. I've just been running stock rooted. i read somewhere you need the sense 4.0 kernel, i was assuming that that was the boot img they say to download from here, so what's going on?

Update HTC Rezound with Leaked Ice Cream Sandwich RUU 3.11.605.1

You have to flash the kernel manually. Or use NilsP's mainver updater.

To flash the kernel manually

Reboot your phone into HBOOT
unzip PH98IMG.zip (the only file you need is boot.img)
place boot.img somewhere convenient like c:\temp
plug the phone into your PC
open a command prompt
change directory to your android SDK
type "fastboot flash boot c:\temp\boot.img" **where c:\temp\boot.img is where you placed your boot.img**
Reboot the phone normally or type fastboot reboot

I believe I tried that. After flashing the rom, I placed the boot.img in the same folder as the fastboot and adb files are on my computer, loaded up command prompt, cd'd to that folder, typed "fastboot flash boot boot.img", it said it worked, then rebooted the phone. It got all the way to the "4G" screen but just hung on it...I read somewhere that this rom didn't have any boot animations and that it should just hang on the second "HTC" screen until it boots up, so I was assume something went wrong?

Wait 5 minutes then either battery pull and/or adb reboot. It sometimes sticks on first boot.
