lcd lighting question

On my old droid there was a function to allow the lcd to stay lit up while charging. I was wondering if there was the same function on the razr. And if so, how do I access it to set it?

Settings--- applications -----developement------ stay awake.

There are apps for advanced settings as well. Some don't require root.
