Launcher Madness

Here's what I'm seeing so far.

First my setup. GPA14 with Pete's 600mhz sv kernel.

Stock 2.3.3 Launcher caches about 21 MB. Seems like a lot. And it seems to lag a little sometimes. It would be nice if there was a way to chop down the homescreens to 3, that would probably help some things.

LauncherPro plus: Seems to cache about 15mb, and seems to run really smooth. But it's not stock, and not Google, so makes me wonder which is better.

Launcher 7. Tried this for a couple days before data wiping and upgrading to GPA14. This actually worked really well. I was impressed. And if I remember correctly it was under 10mb cached. Not nearly as customizable, but in terms of simplicity I was really impressed.

So I guess what I'm having trouble with deciding is what launcher to go with? And the main question comes down to: is the stock launcher, since it's stock, going to be better for Android overall? Even if it's more memory intensive? I'm going to leave it stock for a few days and see how I like it, but I wondered what you fine people think...
