[ROM] [K]IN3TX v1.0 |12/8/11|

I dont know man you must be rooted or you wouldnt have got as far as you did. Only thing I would suggest is start fresh make sure you wipe everything and try again if you havent done that already. have you ever been on a rom before? Whatever kernel and radio you are on you cant change that you cant get the OTA thats what the locked Bootloader is about.

I've done that multiple times already and I'm still having the same issue. And yes, I have been on a ROM before (APEX 2.0 on my old X) and had no issues getting there aside from my own stupid mistakes during the process. Regardless, I got it flashed and it worked just fine.

I'm also aware of the fact that the OTA changes the kernel and the baseband and that the bootloader is locked and there's nothing I can do [at this time] to change that. But, if it helps, I OTA'd into 5.5.893 the first time around and lost root, which led me to forever root and eventually to where I am now, then downloaded/flashed to the newer versions without issue.

I'm so confused and I don't know what to do to fix this. I'll try to do factory/data reset, wipe cache, and forever root again in stock recovery and start over, but I'm less than optimistic.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Im sorry I didnt make my self clear When I said did you ever flash rom I meant with the Bionic. I did here sometime back about someone who couldnt flash any roms had something to do with cheesecake and the 5.7.893 OTA. I just cant see why it wouldnt flash unless you are not fully rooted somehow missing busybox or something can you get into rom manager try some other apps that require root. If nothing else works do the fast boot again http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...70-r3l3as3droot-43v3r-root-bionic-v2-1-a.html

I did some additional reading and I didn't pay it any mind because I didn't do anything either way with it, but where would I find the "unthrottle" folders on my phone/sd card?

EDIT: I found them, but I'm unclear as to delete the folder /data/system/throttle or not. I'm going to assume yes, am I correct?

I believe DT said he baked some of the unthrottle stuff into the rom and didn't recommend running the script. He indicated it wasn't needed, but said you could run it.

I meant the throttle folder without having run the script prior. I doubt it's necessary given that I haven't, but I wasn't sure.

so you signed up for df, just to come here and ask about when an update is coming out? the update will come when it does, it does no good asking when, you are only going to piss people off doing that.

I don't have any issues w/ 1.0 so I don't know why the concern for an update, unless I am missing something here that others are having problems with.

Ive actually been following for sometime. But i read about a week ago he was working on and update for things that had alipped throuh the cracks. Also as he is obviously more aware of the update thing then i wanted to know how 5.7.893 compares to the 5.5.893 ota update and also wanted to confirm that 5.8.894 was nothing nore then a update to the system and not the kernel and radio. Sorry if i signed up to ask a question though.

Alright...I have the 5.7.893 update..I flashed it cause I thought it was going to fix dat
PHP:

a...it did change the radio and kernel..but I still drop data like its hot...can I flash the 5.8.893 update that everyone is talking about being a great fix?. I thought I couldn't because I am am not on the stock kernel since the 5.7 was a leaked ota...if I can..please someone tell me what hoops I need to jump through..and I will make a video of it..if that helps...but this data dropping is killing me. Thanks in advance...oh and dt if u see this...I absol. utely love this rom with aospand XOOM.iii

We were probably a little rough on you but you brokr the golden rule you never ask a Dev when the update is comming on this rom or any other roms. Ive been on many roms and seen many devs and I gotta say that DT and DH are the most friendly. If they are on you can talk to them on any given day. Some roms you never ever get to talk to them you know them by name only. Enough said and ask all the questions you need to except that one lol

Whats the difference between 5.7.983 and 5.8.894. Just the system or did radio and kernel get updated as well? Also cant verizon flash yer phone to totally stock in store?

It depends on who you talk to. In my opinion they are all pretty much the same. They are all different as far as once you get it you got it. The offical is 5.5.,893 which was the first leak. IMO opinion they were all tests and if they do come out as OTA's Moto wil probably tweak them before they release them. If your phone is rooted no that voids your waranty. If you did it without rooting the only way they could do it would be to give you a new phone Verizon cant unlock the bootloader either. Only Moto can and I doubt they would do it. They woulkd say you shouldnt have been messing with it.

what app are you guys using to restore apps?

my issue is after flashing you sign into google account and it restores all apps that were installed when backed up to google servers.....if I skip this and redo in a later time im only able to restore the apps I paid for....I tried "app backup and restore" which saved apk to sd card but they wont show as they being installed in the market menu.....
