I dont know man you must be rooted or you wouldnt have got as far as you did. Only thing I would suggest is start fresh make sure you wipe everything and try again if you havent done that already. have you ever been on a rom before? Whatever kernel and radio you are on you cant change that you cant get the OTA thats what the locked Bootloader is about.
I've done that multiple times already and I'm still having the same issue. And yes, I have been on a ROM before (APEX 2.0 on my old X) and had no issues getting there aside from my own stupid mistakes during the process. Regardless, I got it flashed and it worked just fine.
I'm also aware of the fact that the OTA changes the kernel and the baseband and that the bootloader is locked and there's nothing I can do [at this time] to change that. But, if it helps, I OTA'd into 5.5.893 the first time around and lost root, which led me to forever root and eventually to where I am now, then downloaded/flashed to the newer versions without issue.
I'm so confused and I don't know what to do to fix this. I'll try to do factory/data reset, wipe cache, and forever root again in stock recovery and start over, but I'm less than optimistic.
Again, any help would be appreciated.
