jelly bean update killed hotspot

So my PdaNet+ WiFi tether app is no longer working with the jelly update. Says its not supported by my carrier. Anyone know a work around?

Run a search on this topic there are numerous threads. (Sorry not trying to be a smart a$$). PDANet does not work with JB, will need root to utilize it.
