Jelly Bean RAZR/MAXX Christmas 2012 Update?

The mysterious download is the JB 4.1 update. I was excited at first, but I've soon realized that with the update, it brought bugs with it. Anyone else having issues with the after installing the update to jelly bean?

I am having MAJOR issues with my phone after the update. I can't get a full day out of my phone now. FB freezes all the time and the phone freezes a lot. I restart it st least 2 times a day now. It was a little squirrely before but now i am really disliking it majorily! On my way to verizon now to see what they can do.

Can I FDR if I'm rooted? Do I unroot beforehand? Can I remove my SD card before doing an FDR?

FDR only changes the internal sdcard, no need to remove your external. Unsure about the root thing but I recall reading that it doesn't need to be.

sure didn't do a FDR before it or after since it was pushed I didn't know that I had to do it before or after.
I am going to try doing one now.

Should I charge it to full status before trying this? I haven't done a FDR on it before. I really hate to do it cause I FINALLY have it set up the way I want it but it is what it is. I depend on my phone heavily for email and text for work and the way its acting is not going to help me out with my job.

Don't need much of a charge to do a FDR, 50% or so to be safe.

I have left as is.. I have never even thought of doing a temp unroot when performing an fdr. So at least I know root is kept after an fdr.... Not sure if you temp unroot what would happen..

Hi.

I guess I was one of the "lucky" ones that did actually get the whole OTA JB download before it was pulled. However, I have not yet installed it. Realizing the lack of Foxfi compatibility, I think I will wait a while.

My problem is that my phone prompts me to "install now" or "install later" twice a day. First thing in the morning and again late in the evening. Is there anyway to disable the constant nagging? Or am I going to have to live with it. Also, when it was downloaded, where did it go? It was not in the download directory. I might as well back it up if I have it.

After my FDR I need help recovering all the apps I downloaded from the Play store. Any help?

Check your downloaded apps in the play store, should be a Swype on the my apps screen.
