JB update on brand new phone need help!

Hey guys the gf just got her maxx hd and it won't update to JB and it also won't do NFC. Just walked out of vzw and they first said it didn't have NFC, then I pulled out my phone and said yeah it does. Then I had to tell him it did have JB too. He called the warranty people and they said moto pulled the update and it won't be ready again until the end of the month. Any truth at all to this?

Yeah they pulled the update back in December.

They pulled it for the regular maxx not the maxx HD.

Give it a little while. For now, you can manually push the update if you want to. Simply place it on your external card and install it through stock recovery.

Funny since I bought my Maxx HD a couple of weeks ago and it has JB on it. I wonder if that store had old stock in it. Mine was not updated, but already loaded with it when I bought it just to be clear.

There is really nothing inn JB that is that great i'd just wait for the next update I think it may be soon
I still don't see that Jelly bean is so fantastic I'd be happy with ICS myself

Unfortunately, JB is not working... The device will ask to download & install the update, which it seems to actually download, but crashes during the install. If I can suggest visit my thread [TOOL] Easy Root Komplete, in the main discussion post #1, go to step #11. I have posted the JB update, that I am temporarily hosting, anyhow follow the directions that I have carefully laid out. Starting at step #11 is bypassing "rooting" of the device, so your device will continue to be stock, only once completed you will have JB. :biggrin:

That's what was originally happening but she now has the JB update. Moto must have fixed those servers. Thanks to you and everyone else for the help!

If NFC (or anything) isn't working, return the phone and get a new one! I'd be more worried about everything working properly first then Jellybean.
