I'm seeing a lot of instances with locked bootloaders on the latest update. I'm on 9.20.1 and my bootloader is UNLOCKED. Does that change my ability to root? As of now I'm unable to figure out how.

Do this first, Hold [Power+ Volume Down(-)] at the same time to reboot your device, as sooon the screen turns black Hold [Power + Volume Up(+)] highlight Bootloader and press Up make sure in the Bootloader screen the middle of the screen indicates that the Bootloader is Unlocked not Locked, mention what it reads.

Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code 3. Also when I power up or reboot the phone I get a message that pops up before startup. "Warning bootloader unlocked. Your device's bootloader has been unlocked allowing critical software components etc etc etc... Vist www.motorola.com/unlockbootloader for more information etc etc etc...

With the previous system version I had the phone rooted and unlocked my bootloader. I tried to update and got errors. I unrooted, and the update worked, but I still have an unlocked bootloader.

no tring to reload 4.1.1 (pre version) and then root it, but when i load the 4.1.1 firmware in rsd the script stops at line 5. <step operation="flash" partition="tz" filename="tz.mbn" and fails to flash.
