Issue Receiving MS Outlook Invitations

I use MS Outlook 2010 for business. So do many of my clients, but I suspect most use Outlook 2007. I have my Outlook synced with my Google account and use the native Droid X calendar and email clients. I do not use my Google account for email. When I receive an email calendar invite on my Droid X, all I get is a bunch of code in the body of an email, but no actual invitation I can accept - not even an attachment I can open!! Did I set something up the wrong way?? Incidentally, I get the same issue when sending a test invitation to either my IMAP email on the native client or my Google email on the Google client.

Any suggestions?????
