Is it possible to remove a rom without a backup?

I flashed flyx final onto my droid x and when i went to remove it the back up wont show up and idk what to do now someone please help. I want to get back to stock 2.2 basically.

ROMs basically overwrite the entire system directory. Backup is the best way. Backups taken with ClockworkMod recovery (as well as ROM Manager), should be located in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup and can be restored with ROM Manager by going to manage backups (from memory, I think that's the option).

If you need to get back to stock, best way is to .sbf. See rootzwiki dot com for more info.
