Intro - not much responses in here

Not many responses to intro threads but since everywhere I look it tells me to come introduce myself I decided to do so.

Familiar with forums but new to android (thunderbolt) so I am still overwhelmed. Came off a BB storm which I never cared to learn much about besides email and downloading Bolt browser. Right now just trying to figure out now what is the basics of android that everyone else just breezes over. Some things must be so simple that nothing is coming up in a search besides problems with it loading (tapatalk for one). Rooting, no idea what this is. Figured out some basics from Abes thread but still a ton to learn.
