Installed GB and love it.. Have a question

So installed GingerBread and am loving it. I was previously using apex 1.4.1 and can tell GB is better. Here is my question. Do you recommend using ADW launcher on GB. I noticed it kinda slows the phone down. The only reason i used it was because my desktop configuration was saved. I think that is the biggest pain having to always redo it. What do you guys recommend?

it shouldnt slow it down. I personally havent used ADW but im sure that you can change the speed of the screen transitions in the preferences. Its probably set to the default and thats i usually slow i hear. I have GB and i use the stock launcher, laggy at times but i like the features it has. You can also try going back to the old launcher and removing all the widgets and icons on the screens, since it runs them in background and can be slowing you down.

I found out what the problem was. I was using a live background using beautiful widgets that changes with the weather and it was set to hog cpu
