Install only PARTS of a theme...

So my question is this: is it possible to install certain parts of a theme? For instance, I really like the status bar from Revolution theme, but don't like how it makes dialogs and text entry highlight green. I already figured that you can remove the replacement system/app/ .apk files from the zip so they don't get replaced, but I'm thinking this is going to involve editing the framework file...

Is there a way I can just install the status bar?
