Improve my Rooted Droid2 Battery Life!!!!!

BATTERY LIFE SUCKS!!! whats the best way to improve or rather drasticially improve the battery life on my rooted Droid 2???? preferably without installing a custom ROM, i do have some overclock apps ive downloaded, just wanna make sure i dont run my phone too high or low, but definitely definitely need to improve my battery life.....thanks

SetCPU can set profiles to decrease your processor speed while the phone is idle.

You can also change your display settings.

I know you said you don't want to flash a new ROM, but that's your best option.

Run at 900 mhz on ulv...lasts a while longer...or even stock at ulv.....

Run 2.3.2.0. Install jrummy's overclock app and run at the fastest speed you can with ultra low voltage. I like juicedefender also. Battery life will improve greatly.
