I'll not be buying gas from BP ever again.

I don't hold it against you for having to buy their products, just make sure spit on their sign so you keep you dignity, J/K! But seriously!

Glad you have connections helping you out man.

yeah its nice for them to offer work. i haven't made up a decision if i'm going to take them up i might take this as an opportunity to spend some time doing a whole lot of nothing.

ps: garrett = zyiro

Your avatar made me pretty sure of that, no longer a hunch anymore. lol. Have a good week doing nothing, that is exactly what I am doing. I took the summer off, lazy dog days : )

Can't say I read all the posts, I didn't even read the first page, but I have a few things to say about this.

1. Look at the picture on the site that was linked by the OP, can't trust that guy, that is a ridiculous picture.

2. I saw a 1 hour special about the spill, the first 55 minutes about trying to salvage the rig, the last 5 minutes were about after it sank.

3. All they care about is profits.

4. The spill could have easily been contained had they tried when the fire broke out, however they were more concerned with saving the rig to save money, welcome to oil companies, the same people who said electric cars were bad for the environment.

its always about the money why do you think there putting so much effort into siphoning the oil out rather then just sealing off the well.....

I couldn't care less who's fault it is, if your involved then you need to step up and take your part in his disaster, its negative events like these that remind me how we're just destroying our planet...Go Green! BP no moola for you!

My thoughts exactly. The world revolves around money, and BP is displaying that to its fullest meaning right now.

Well, at least we're not the only ones that think BP is bad.
BP plc (ADR): NYSE:BP quotes & news - Google Finance
SELL SELL SELL, although once it starts to rise again buy might not be a bad idea, they were at 60, and last I looked, down to 35 since april.

i hate to say it but right now is the time to buy BP while its down because as soon as this is over its going to shoot right back up...

buy it, sit on it, profit

In the end you're only helping yourself and hurting them, which is the goal, give them money for a year, take a 50-100% bonus when it's back to where it was, depends how low it will go on how much you can make.

I always thought that BP overpriced their gas anyhow. Glad to say that I've never gone there and most definitely never will now. :) It is terrible for the loss of life and lifestyle though.

not just gas. Plastics, medicine, rubber... just about everything you buy has oil in the production process. And the only product that normally doesn't have oil in its creation; food, still uses oil for the transportation. If half of driving american public made sure not to buy gas from a BP station, it would only be a discomfort to them.
Who cares what a boycott will accomplish? That is not the point. It is the principal of avoiding purchasing goods from an irresponsible company. BP will have to re infrastructure their company, and sell allot of assets just to pay for what they destroyed. IMO, BP has already cut their throat. The media says a boycott won't have an effect, but they are missing the point. I am going to avoid BP products as much as I can, and I hope the little stations carrying the BP name will do the same and switch out their product for a better one:icon_ banana:

You gonna quit your job, you gonna turn off your electricity, you gonna drop out of school and live in the wild. Because that is what it would take to boycott BP. Now how many people will really do that. Because if all the people on this forum did that, this forum would die.
Boycotting BP is all talk. You can not truly boycott BP, when you go to walmart or the local grocery store you paying BP. The guy driving the truck is going to the cheapest/closet gas station. You want to do something, find out ways to help out the gulf coast community.

sounds like Ted Kaczynski

Walmart uses biodiesel anyways now, as for electricity, they don't use oil as much for electricity as coal and nuclear are much cheaper. As for school, not getting how my school is supporting BP...a boycott is about a statement, that you can live without directly interacting with the company, not indirectly inadvertantly helping the company.

Almost every man-made product uses oil in the process somewhere.....

thank you. That is the point I am trying to make. I am angry like every one else, but you boycotting bp gas does not hurt bp, just mom and pop who put their life savings into to that gas station. I am not saying not to stand up. I am saying boycotting is not going to do any thing but make you feel good about yourself.
You want to help, find out ways to help out the gulf coast community. Maybe take up a donation for that area. Contact your senator. Do something that will actually make a diff.
It is like people who mail a 5 dollar check to the local boys and girls club or homeless shelter. You are doing that to make yourself feel good. You really want to do good for your community, volunteer coach, be a mentor, be respectful to other people. That is what makes a difference.
